Brumby was part of the Brand New School team in the early days of the studio, helping establish the initial BNS ethos and attitude with his distinct style and playful humor. His unique approach merges live action, motion graphics, and 3D animation into compelling, award-winning campaigns. He’s helmed spots for Volvo, AmEx, Reese’s, and O2, and designed identities for the ESPN family of networks. He was tapped to direct music videos for David Bowie and Scissor Sisters, wholly-create in-show content for HBO’s “The Leftovers,” and had his short film “Cruising Electric” premiere at Sundance. Prior to returning to Brand New School, Brumby was a co-founder and creative director at National Television, a bi-coastal production company. His kinetic aesthetic plays through much of his work, which has received top awards from the Art Directors Club, Type Directors Club, AIGA, and Promax/BDA, among others. A graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, he’s a Texan, a father of two, and a punk rock veteran.
